Megan and John were not only a blast to photograph - I've seen that at least two other weddings I've photographed this year. I secretly think they might be professional wedding crashers. :-) Okay maybe they aren't - but I'll have fun with spreading the rumor. We shot their engagement session in a local park in Birmingham, Michigan and also hit some downtown favorite spots. I really like that we were able to get some great options for their save the dates. Megan is absolutely stunning (John is not so bad himself), so they will be so much fun to photograph on their wedding day. I can't wait to see what her dress looks like. She said it's gorgeous!! I am catching up now and thank goodness for it. I have so many wonderful engagement sessions to post just like this one. Jessica and Camron were so much fun to work with! We had to reschedule once because of weather, and I'm glad we waited because the perfect day came around and we were able to snag some great images to celebrate their engagement! They will be getting married this year (2016) and I'm really stoked to be working with them. Check out that gorgeous sapphire engagement ring a few photos down. Wow! I really love sapphire - it's one of my favorite stones (hint hint to my husband who never reads my posts - but maybe I'll get lucky this time).

What do you get when you have two gorgeous people, who are equally as friendly and kind along with a classic truck, sunny day and a lonely field in Howell? You get magic my friends! Magic! Rachael and Scott have the kind of chemistry that makes photographers go wild. I can't tell you how much I adored them and this session. When Rachael told me that Scott has a classic truck in his family that they wanted to use for the session - I giggled like a school girl. I had NO idea how fantastic the truck was until they pulled up. When I saw the truck enter the driveway I screamed! This engagement session was shot in Howell and I'm so glad I took the time to drive there to make this happen. Please join me in congratulating Rachael and Scott on their engagement! Dan, a popular local sports radio personality and Angelina, a doctor are a pair I'm so glad I met! They are fun, friendly and in love! When I find a couple with these qualities I feel that I hit a trifecta at the race track! We hit some of the favorite spots around the city and had some laughs and fun! My absolute favorite part of their session - and the part that showcases their personalities, was when we were by Scott Fountain on Belle Isle and an organized group of runners decided to run in front of my camera. Dan and Angelina thought it would be fun to just pick up and run a little with them. Just two fun people who are meant to be together! That's Dan and Angelina!

Natalie and Eddie met me for the first time at their engagement session and were a wee bit nervous when we first started. I went through my normal speech and as soon they warmed up and MAGIC happened! I loved Natalie's dress - super cute and Eddie was so dapper in his suit. Their chemistry was dynamic and they had so much FUN! I like to interact with my couples, take them to a different place so that I can capture authentic emotions - raw and beautiful. I would say this was a successful session, wouldn't you? My FAVORITE memory of this session was when we shot in my regular local Birmingham alley. I ended up screaming like a little girl when I saw something furry running our way. (Now come on, furry things live in all alley's, even Birmingham - lol). Natalie and Eddie looked at me and said - "Don't run, just take the picture". They are afraid of NOTHING. I just adore them!!! Congratulations Natalie and Eddie on your engagement. I simply cannot wait to celebrate with you on your wedding day!
