Southeast Michigan Wedding Photographer's Favorite Venues
Apr 21, 2015
Wellers is one of my most favorite wedding ceremony and reception venues in Southeast Michigan! As a wedding photographer I appreciate it's historic beauty and charm. From the magical tree lined aisles to the gorgeous pergolas and the elegant reception rooms, this place has it all. Over the years I've photographed many weddings here and I've never been disappointed. Rain or shine I've always been able to capture great images. They have an off site home where brides and grooms can prepare and dress for their big day. Afterwards they can head over to the venue where the grounds are always well maintained with lush and gorgeous foilage is all around. There are beautiful trees, seasonal flowers, tranquil fountains and stone walkways. I love their carriage house especially for receptions and if the weather is right - you can dance the night away under the stars outside. The food is delicious and the staff more than accomodating. Tell Wellers I sent you - I know you will love this place!

Southeast Michigan Wedding Photographer's Favorite Venues

What I love the most about weddings at the Baronette Renaissance Hotel is that this is just about as stress free as a venue comes. In Metro Detroit there are tons of great venues. As a wedding photographer I love it because it offers me the chance to whisk my couples away for a few moments between dances to capture a few shots in it's gorgeous lobby! At the Baronette, you can have your ceremony and reception in the same room, plus you can use the lovely lobby for family photos in between events. They are experts at flipping a room and I've seen them change a ceremony site into a decked out reception in less than twenty minutes. This is especially important for my jewish couples because there is so much going on for those events. They make ketubah signing easy in one of their board rooms and my couples will usually go back and use that same place as a yichud room. The door locks - so no one will bother you. The hotel staff will wow you - I promise you that! Not only are they hospitable but the food is to die for! If you require special kosher catering they will allow you to bring in an outside caterer. I've included some images from a few weddings I've shot there over the years so enjoy.
